Troy Hege


Hege is the president and founder of Westvale Group, a management consultancy focused on innovation and commercialization.

Prior to starting Westvale, Hege was the chief of staff and executive vice president of the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI). In this role, Hege worked closely with the CEO to grow the organization from two employees to 25, to launch three research programs and to raise more than $150 million in funding.

Prior to joining IBRI, Hege spent 10 years working as a Project Director at BioCrossroads, a privately funded regional economic development organization. In this role, Hege was instrumental in developing the case statements, strategies and operating and sustainability models for several stakeholder-driven public-private partnerships, such as Datalys Center, Indy Hub, Indiana Health Information Exchange, Fairbanks Institute for Healthy Communities and the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute. While working at BioCrossroads, Hege also served as a principal of Indiana Seed Fund II. 

Hege has served on the boards of directors for Diagnotes Inc., 16 Tech Community Corporation Inc., Indy Hub, Thrive Inc. and Datalys Center.

Prior to joining BioCrossroads, Hege worked for seven years in management consulting for firms in Boston and New York, advising leading healthcare, pharmaceutical and technology companies on brand management, business development and technology strategy. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
